Karmin Exploration is a mining and exploration company which owns;
- 100% of the Cushuro Gold Project in the world class Alto Chicama gold district of northern Peru;
- 100% of the Aripuanã Gold Project in Brazil; and
- 30% of the Aripuanã Zinc Project, one of the largest undeveloped zinc projects in Brazil.
The Cushuro Gold and Aripuanã Gold Projects are exploration projects located in very prospective geologic domains whereas the Aripuanã Zinc Project hosts more than 30 million tonnes of 43-101 defined resources and currently has 3 drill rigs completing a 10,000 metre infill drill program.
An exploration program has recently commenced at the Cushuro Gold Project with the objective of completing a drill program as outlined in the Cushuro Gold Project 43-101 Report available on this website.
Exploration on the Aripuanã Gold Project is expected to commence later this year in order to outline resources that have contributed to the 350,000 ounces of historic gold production originating at this property.
The Aripuanã Zinc Project covers a complete mineralized massive sulphide district, with five areas of mineralization (Arex, Ambrex, Babacu, Massaranduba and Mocoto) over a 25 kilometer strike length. Votorantim Metais, a division of the privately-held Brazilian Votorantim Group, is the project operator and is currently conducting the drill program on the property. Votorantim is fully funding the project to a bankable feasibility study, and Karmin is not required to contribute until 18 months after the completion of the study. Votorantim Metais is the fifth largest zinc producer in the world, with two zinc smelters in Brazil and one in Peru.
